Hi! I'm an illustrator and animator based in Stockholm. I hold a BA in Broadcast Journalism from China, and an MFA in Visual Communication from Konstfack (2025).

I explore intergenerational memory, the female migration, and inner life, through quiet everyday scenes and a textured, hand-made look. Working across illustration and short film. I'm open for illustration and animation commissions！

Master’s Degree Thesis
This film was created during my graduate studies as a self-reflective project exploring how East Asian women engage in self-healing through creation and expression. Structured in four chapters, the film begins with my name and unfolds around themes of identity, gender, and personal growth, tracing the journey of how I became who I am.

这部影片是我在研究生阶段以自己为对象进行“东亚女性通过创作和表达进行自我疗愈”的研究呈现。在这部影片里，我通过四个章节，以我的名字为出发点，围绕身份、性别和成长经历，探寻我是如何成为“我”的。

Dreams I Hid in My Safe Room
那些我藏在安全屋里的梦

Illustration This project is a description of everyone's safe room built from past memories and reflections. I chose five main scenes in my childhood to depict the nostalgia feeling.
这个项目描绘了我从过去记忆和反思中构建的安全空间。我选择了童年中的场景来记录怀旧的情感。




Mingfen
Every year during Spring Festival, we bring lots of good food to Grandma's grave.
We lay a plastic sheet over her tombstone, kneel down, and afterward sit and eat snacks.
One night, I sent a hydrogen balloon up into the sky.
I'd written everything I wanted to say to her on it.




The Purple Garden
There was a crooked-necked tree in the little garden where we used to live.
I could see its green leaves and purple blossoms right outside my window.
In science class, I raised silkworms. Some of them never made it to grow up.
I buried them under that tree with a little paper tombstone. The other kids laughed when they saw it.
I quietly took it down the next day. At least the silkworms could rest in peace.

The Summer Pool
Every summer, I went swimming in the neighbourhood pool with my grandpa.
Plastic slippers, fallen leaves floating on the water.
Grilled sausages that tasted even better after a swim.
The water was warm where the sun hit, and still cool in the shade.
The smell of chlorine lingered in my hair and on my skin.

You and I
The first time I met her, she was crying over a photo of her mother.
We became good friends after that. Back then, a sticker felt like a luxury to me.
She noticed I wanted one and quietly bought it for me.
Then one day, she transferred schools without a word and disappeared from my life.
Maybe some things just don't need an answer.
What they left behind became part of who I am.






The Banyan Tree
When I was little, Grandpa often told me stories about growing up, he always talked about the banyan tree, the house, and the water of his hometown.
Later, when I started learning traditional Chinese painting, the first scene my teacher taught me to paint was a banyan tree.
The scene feels like Grandpa's hometown: a place he may never return to, and one I've never been to at all.

不完美瑜伽
Imperfect Yoga

Poster Design
项目将瑜伽动作调整为更不完美但放松的形式，旨在让人享受瑜伽，而非追求完美。我选择了暖色调和弯曲的线条，营造出呼吸感和包容感。

In this project, yoga poses were changed into more imperfect but relax forms, which intends to not push people to chase the best on yoga but just enjoy it. I chose warm colors and curly lines to create an atmosphere of breathing and comprehensive.

Talking to the Memory

Animated Documentary
这是一个研究项目，探讨人们看老照片时的奇妙感受。通过写作、采访、实验和分析照片的元素，我发现我们会在脑海中扮演导演、演员和观众，重新创作故事。我选了一组在奶奶厨房拍的照片作为主要故事，呈现我的发现和结论。项目成果包括照片、插画、视频和一个网站，供大家体验整个过程。

This is a research project about finding the answer of the wonderful feeling when we are looking at old photos.
Through writing, interviewing, experimenting and analysing elements and features of these pictures, I found that we will become directors, actors, and audiences to create a new story in our minds when looking at old pictures.
So I chose a group of pictures I took in my grandma's kitchen as the main story to show my findings and conclusions. As the outcome, this project consists of pictures, illustrations, several videos and a website for you to enjoy the process.

一次妇科检查
The Wrapped Consulting Room

这个项目以纪录片的形式详细记录了我的妇科检查体验，希望观众能够身临其境地感受整个检查流程，以及诊室中独特而微妙的氛围。同时，我在视频中加入了科学普及的内容，旨在澄清大众对妇科疾病的误解，消除偏见，从而让更多人能够以开放和理性的态度面对这一重要的健康话题。
I recorded my gynaecological examination experience in the form of a documentary, so that audiences can virtually feel the whole process of the examination and the subtle atmosphere in the consulting room.  Besides, I added some popular science knowledge in the video to eliminate misunderstandings of GYNs.

The project is divided into four chapters: Growing, Captivity, Awakening, and Blending. It explores the relationship between body, mind, and the external space. In modern life, we are increasingly less aware of physical bodies and imprisoned by the convenience of external spaces. We need to reconnect our physical bodies with our minds and create a healthier world through inner change.

This illustration sets the beginning of a story: the character waits on an island-like home for a train from afar.
The scene is a spatial allegory for memories from my own migration from China to Sweden, centred on the moment of preparing to depart.
This is the first test of whether such a quietly unfamiliar fictional world can hold that experience without stating it directly.

Disenchanting Politics Activities

Graphic Design
Disenchanting Politics is a community caring about social issues and will hold activities regularly. They invited artists to hold a series of activities during the second season in 2022, which intended to discuss social issues from the perspective of Socially Engaged Art (Social Relationships in Practice). I was invited to design posters for different themes and activities from April to June 2022.
